ECP is pleased to announce that Barbara A. Kelly, MD has been elected Board Chair. Dr. Kelly joined the board in 2013. She is a pediatrician who retired from her faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2015 where she served as Medical Director of the Well-Baby Nursery for 20 years.

In addition to caring for patients at Einstein, Dr. Kelly actively participated in the education of residents and medical students as well as in quality improvement and clinical research activities. Presently, she is a member of the Safe Sleep Committee of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Philadelphia Fetal Infant Mortality Review Committee.

Dr. Kelly is a graduate of Smith College, Teachers College of Columbia University and Tufts University School of Medicine. She did her pediatric internship and residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellowship in General pediatrics.
She has always had a strong interest in education and taught science to elementary school students in New York City before attending medical school.

Dr. Kelly lives with her husband, John J. Kelly, MD in Upper Dublin Pennsylvania where they raised their four children and now happily entertain their three grandchildren.
